Description
The Comanche was built in 1966 by John and Pearl Groy. At that time all that was in the area was prairie and a beautiful view. The beautiful view remains but the area has grown tremendously. Houses surround the once isolated land, but the Drive In survives. The theatre ran every summer until 2008. It reopened briefly in 2012. Old classics as well as newer movies once again fill the nostalgic screen.
Welcome fellow travelers. Though originally from Illinois, Colorado has been home since 1959. Since, as a boy, I snapped my first photo, I have been captivated by the symphony of beauty, and intricate design which surrounds us. God is the composer, and this humble musician, my camera is my instrument, strives to do justice to His composition. If I have been successful, and to that end, I hope you enjoy your journey down my Colorado Trails. Please feel free to leave a comment or contact me at: jim3584@msn.com. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. 1 Peter 1:24-25
